Just a little truffle treat for you to share with the ones that you love!

Both Maca and Cacao are well known for there energising & libido boosting properties, so this recipe makes a great dessert for you to share with those closest to you!  Easy to make, so no excuses with this rich truffle treat!

Maca Chocolate Truffles

Makes 12 truffles

Ingredients:

½ cup coconut oil
¼ cup coconut butter or cacao butter
¾ cup raw cacao powder
¼ cup + 1 Tbsp maple syrup
2 Tbsp fresh pomegranate seeds (from a half pomegranate) **
1 tsp maca
1 tsp dried rose petals

Directions:

In a mold or ice cube tray, sprinkle pomegranate seeds throughout. Set aside.

Melt coconut oil and coconut butter on low heat in a small saucepan until liquid. Remove from heat and add cacao powder, maple syrup and maca, and combine well. Pour chocolate into molds. Sprinkle with rose petals. Set in fridge for 30 minutes or freezer for 10 minutes.

Serve immediately or store in a covered container in the fridge for 3-6 days.

** If you don’t have or can’t find the pomegranate seeds – use a few sweet goji berries or dried mulberries for that sweet bite at the bottom!
